Dr. Arroyo specializes in the treatment of kidney, prostate, and bladder cancer using minimally invasive surgery. He is also renowned for his treatment of urinary incontinence in both men and women, vaginal prolapse, and urinary fistulas. Finally, he addresses and treats erectile dysfunction, particularly with penile implants.
Dr. José Miguel Arroyo Maestre

He specialized in Urology and Andrology at the Puerta del Mar University Hospital from Cádiz (1994-1998).
In 1999 he began as an Assistant in Urology at University Hospital of Jerez, where he currently continues his activity.
For more than 18 years he has also developed private medical activity and medical companies in Health Centers in Jerez.
Current specialization
After a few years of focusing on general urology in its medical and surgical development, Dr. Arroyo has oriented his specialty towards minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and endoscopic) for prostate, kidney and bladder cancer.
He also directs the Functional Urology and Urodynamics Unit where the pathology of female and male urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapses and urinary fistulas are treated.
He also performs surgery for male erectile dysfunction, a specialty that includes penile prostheses.
Currently, the doctor maintains his ongoing training on pelvic floor pathologies in various hospitals in Spain.
Academic activities and membership in organizations
He has carried out multiple activities as a teacher in laparoscopic training at the University Hospital of Jerez, as well as various continuing education courses in Urology at the College of Physicians of Cadiz and in multiple hospital seminars on urological pathology.
He is a member of the “Clinical Transplant Committee” and the “Antithrombotic Treatment Committee” of University Hospital of Jerez.
He belongs to several professional Urology associations, including the Andalusian Association of Urology (AAU), Spanish Association of Urology (AEU), and is also a member of the Ibero-American Society of Neurology and Urogynecology (SINUG).
He is currently the provincial representative of the Andalusian Association of Urology (AAU).
