El Dr. Julio Fernández del Álamo He is a specialist in the surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia with extensive experience in Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) since 2012.

Bachelor of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1997-2003).

He completed his Urology residency at the Príncipe de Asturias University Hospital in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid (2004-2009). From 2009 to 2011, he worked at the Príncipe de Asturias University Hospital as an attending Urologist, and in September 2011, he joined the Urology Department at the Torrejón University Hospital.

He has been Head of the Urology Department at the University Hospital of Torrejón since 2018 and has been part of the ICUA team since 2016.

In 2012 he began to specialize in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, completing training periods with Dr. Gómez Sancha in 2012 and 2013 and at AddenBrooke Hospital (Cambridge University Hospitals) in 2014.
